Problem
Operations teams faced a flood of alerts with no fast way to separate signal from noise, so the time to resolve incidents kept climbing.
My role
As senior designer I designed the AIOps workflows, the correlation policies, the events console and the runbooks, turning analytics output into interfaces an operator could act on.
Key decision
Pair every automated correlation with a runbook, so the system didn't just surface a problem, it handed the operator a procedure to resolve it.
Outcome
A 25% reduction in mean time to resolution, from faster detection and clearer paths to a fix.
01 · The challenge

When systems break, someone has to find the cause first.

When companies rely on complex IT systems, things go wrong, like a car breaking down or a phone freezing. Large enterprises have IT operations (ITOps) teams responsible for keeping everything running, but they deal with massive amounts of data and alerts.

Finding the root cause of an issue quickly is a major challenge.

03 · What I took away

Design leadership scales with the system.

This project reinforced the role of design leadership in complex, AI-driven enterprise products. Success required not only strong UX execution, but the ability to align stakeholders, translate ambiguity into direction, and design systems that scale with both technology and organizational needs.

04 · Impact

Faster resolution, and customers on the new UI.

We successfully onboarded customers to the new UI, resulting in an increase in usage. The implementation of new features led to a 25% reduction in the mean time to resolution (MTTR), highlighting the effectiveness of our enhancements in detection and resolution processes.
